What is PAR light?
It may come as a surprise to learn that plants don’t actually “see” the same light we do. The photosynthesis reaction that makes plants grow reacts to only certain light wavelengths (colours). This is exactly what PAR light is (Photosynthetically Active Radiation). This means that if you buy a traditional white light, you will be giving your plants lots of extra light that it can’t even use!And guess what?
That’s a huge waste of energy! With all the amazing benefits, i’s hard to think of any reason to not start your LED growing today.
The Sweet Spot
LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) emit only certain wave lengths of light and we specifically target the blue and red spectrum which plants need to thrive in an indoor environment.
